Knowledge Transfer
Ether Solutions undertake knowledge transfer activities where a Consultant works as part of a team with Client staff. The assignments start with the Consultant doing the hands-on work and being shadowed by a member of the Client's staff. After a period of time with a number of tasks completed in this mode, the next stage is of the member of staff to undertake the activity with the Consultant shadowing to provide close support and guidance. The final stage is for the Consultant to remain with the team undertaking separate tasks but be available to answer questions and undertake periodic checks on the activity being carried out.
This type of knowledge transfer in the actual environment were the work is undertaken is found my many companies to be more effective than formal training classes that work on isolated and often too simplistic examples.
