Business Process Management - Workflow

BPM is the implemenation of task based processes, that can involve a number of automated and manual steps. The facilities are provded through a user's inbox and work lists. The tasks themseleves are managed through work queues, routing rules and procedures.

By BPM controlling the state of any task a any time, the whole process can be visible, auditable and available management monitoring as well as reporting.

Oracle has a complete BPEL compliant BPM product that conforms to the international standards on the definition of tasks, users, etc, in order that the software can integrate with any other BPEL complainat product for definition of processes across environments.

Within the Oracle ECM product the Content Server repository provides a ful range of workflow capabilities for documents. An integration is available to link this workflow functionality with the main BPEL product.
